Supplier development

The right mill, proven before the order

What you receive A supplier file per part: audit report, capability matrix, risk notes and a recommended source with the reasoning attached.

Most sourcing failures are supplier failures, and most of those are visible before the first purchase order — in the machine list, the calibration records, or a full order book promising a lead time it cannot hold.

  • Cluster mapping: who casts it, who machines it, who has the test bench for the size
  • Factory audits covering process flow, equipment, calibration, welder and NDT qualifications, current load
  • Sample and first-article management, including third-party laboratory work where the specification requires it
  • Second-source qualification, so one mill's shutdown does not stop your line
02

Cost & negotiation

A price you can take apart

What you receive A comparison sheet with the cost logic visible — where each quote is heavy, where it is thin, and what is negotiable.

A quotation is only useful if you know what is inside it. We quote the same specification to several mills in parallel, then show you the cost build-up rather than a single number.

  • Parallel RFQs on identical specifications, so the comparison is genuine
  • Should-cost breakdown: raw material weight, machining hours, testing, coating, packing, freight
  • Negotiation of tooling, minimum order quantities, payment terms and price validity
  • Index-linked pricing on repeat items, so material swings are shared rather than argued about
03

Sourcing inspection

Inspection while the part can still be fixed

What you receive An inspection report with photographs and measured values, plus a punch list that is closed before shipment.

Inspection at the destination port tells you what went wrong. Inspection at the hold point decides whether it goes wrong at all — which is why we write the plan before production starts.

  • Inspection and Test Plans per part, with hold and witness points agreed with your engineers
  • Dimensional inspection against drawing: flange facing, face-to-face, bore, stem thread, bolt circle
  • Visual and surface checks: casting defects, weld repair, machining marks, coating thickness
  • Witnessed hydrostatic shell and seat tests, functional and torque checks
  • Coordination of RT, PT, MT and PMI with qualified third-party inspectors
04

Documentation

Paperwork that clears receiving

What you receive A document package indexed to your PO line items, so receiving and QA can check it without emailing anybody.

A perfectly good shipment gets rejected on a missing certificate more often than on a defective casting. Documents are treated here as part of the product, not as an afterthought at loading.

  • Material test certificates to EN 10204 3.1, verified against the heat numbers on the castings
  • Dimensional and pressure test reports assembled into one package per order
  • Painting and coating reports with surface preparation grade and dry film thickness readings
  • Certificate of origin, packing list, commercial invoice, bill of lading, insurance
  • Specification review against the API / ASME / MSS clauses before production, not after
05

Logistics & consolidation

One container, not five shipments

What you receive One shipment you can plan around, with a tracking sheet that updates before you have to ask.

Valves from three suppliers arriving on three different vessels is three times the receiving work and three times the risk. Consolidation turns that back into a single delivery date.

  • Consolidation of several mills into one container, one bill of lading, one invoice
  • Export-grade packing: seaworthy cases, VCI protection, flange face protection, desiccant
  • Loading plans that respect weight distribution and your unloading sequence
  • FOB, CIF, CFR or DDP arranged from Chinese or Malaysian ports
  • Booking, tracking and early warning when a vessel or a production line slips
06

Quality support

Problems closed at the source

What you receive A corrective action you can audit on the next order — not an apology and a credit note.

Something will eventually go wrong: a hardness reading, a leaking seat, a certificate with the wrong heat number. What matters is whether it gets fixed where it was made.

  • First article inspection and PPAP-style documentation for new parts
  • Root cause analysis with the mill — material, process or measurement
  • Containment of suspect lots, sorting and rework coordination at the factory
  • Warranty and claim handling in China, in the mill's language, on your behalf
  • Quarterly supplier scorecards: on-time delivery, first-pass yield, document accuracy
07

Component & spare part supply

The parts that wear out, on a supply line that does not

What you receive Component and spare-part lines sourced, inspected and documented like the valves they fit — with kitting and replenishment handled under the same routine.

Stems, seats, packing and bolting get bought in small lots, from several places, often matched against a sample rather than a drawing — which is exactly where traceability slips. We run them through the same sourcing, inspection and documentation discipline as a valve order.

  • Matched by part number, drawing or a physical sample — with a dimensional report either way
  • Materials from carbon steel to stainless, duplex, Monel, brass and bronze, certificates to EN 10204 3.1
  • Matched kits per valve size and type, packed as one line item with the valve order or shipped separately
  • Min/max replenishment programmes on repeat parts, with agreed lead times and price validity
  • Small lots consolidated with valve shipments instead of paying full freight on a carton

Engagement models

Three ways to use us.

Most clients start with a single part, then move to a frame agreement once the inspection and document routines are proven.

A

Per project

A specific part or package, quoted and inspected individually. Best for a first order or a one-off replacement.

B

Frame agreement

Agreed pricing and lead times per line item for twelve months, with release orders against it. Best for recurring SKUs.

C

Inspection retainer

Monthly coverage of your existing Chinese suppliers — audits, hold-point visits and document review, whether or not you buy through us.

Castings & forgings

Where a valve starts.

Body castings and forgings sourced to your material grade — carbon steel, low-alloy, stainless and duplex — supplied rough as-cast or finish-machined to drawing. Pattern ownership, first-article reports and heat-number traceability are settled before the first batch, not argued about after it.

  • Greensand, resin-shell and investment castings, plus closed-die and open-die forgings, matched to the geometry and batch size.
  • Pattern records kept per customer, so a repeat order does not start from a new pattern discussion.
  • RT and surface inspection before machining, so a casting defect is caught while it is still a scrap casting.
  • Export classification HS 8481.90 / 7307, with origin documentation that survives a customs review.
